Walmart canvas prints come from two completely different businesses, and the prices people quote depend on which one they used. One is a photo lab that prints your own picture. The other is a marketplace of third party sellers shipping ready made decorative canvases.
They are not competing products, and the difference decides which one is right for you.
Walmart Photo is a photo lab. You upload an image, choose a size, and collect it or have it shipped. Measured on their own site in August 2026, a full photo canvas ranges from 16.96 to 98.96 dollars, an 8 x 10 gallery wrap is 19.96, a 16 x 16 gallery wrap is 36.96, and a 16 x 20 is 39.96. Same day pickup is available on popular sizes including 11 x 14 and 16 x 20.
If what you have is a photograph of your own and you want it on a wall this week, that is a straightforward and genuinely cheap way to do it.
Search the same phrase and most of what appears is Walmart Marketplace: third party sellers listing ready made decorative canvases, typically between 10.99 and 18.96 dollars. Sellers ship independently, so quality, canvas weight and delivery time vary by seller rather than by Walmart.
These are finished decorative pieces at small sizes. They are not custom, and the artwork is whatever the seller has listed.
Neither is an art catalogue. Walmart Photo needs you to bring the picture, and the marketplace sells whatever individual sellers stock. If you know you want a photograph of the Karakoram, a specific abstract or a five panel sunset, neither route is built for that search.
That is the actual difference, and it matters more than the price. Photography Wall Art is the shape of the alternative: a catalogue you choose from rather than a file you upload.
We are more expensive, and it is worth saying why rather than dancing around it. A 1 Piece canvas print at 24 x 16 inches is 69.95 dollars here, against 39.96 for a 16 x 20 at Walmart Photo. Framed canvas at the same size is 143.95.
What the difference buys is size range and format. Our horizontal range runs from 24 x 16 up to 82 x 42 inches, panoramic covers 36 x 12 to 73 x 24, and multi panel layouts run 3 Horizontal, 4 Pop, 5 Star and 5 Pop. Walmart Photo tops out at 98.96 dollars and its largest listed sizes are far smaller. If you want a 60 inch piece or a five panel set, the comparison stops being about price.
Do you already have the picture? If yes, use a photo lab. Walmart Photo, or any of the others, will do that job well and cheaply, and paying an art store to print your holiday photograph makes no sense.
If you do not have the picture and you are looking for artwork, a photo lab cannot help you at all, and a marketplace can only offer whatever is listed. That is the point at which a catalogue is the right tool. The canvas print sites comparison covers the wider field and the buying guide covers what to check before ordering anywhere.
Three things decide whether a canvas looks cheap on the wall, and none of them is the price. Ask what the frame depth is, because a thin stretcher bar shows its edges and warps. Ask whether the image wraps the sides or is mirrored, since a gallery wrap loses about an inch of the picture on each edge. Ask what the print resolution is at the size you ordered, because an upscaled phone photo at 24 inches will look soft whoever prints it.
Our canvas is stretched over a solid wooden inner frame at 1.25 inches and arrives ready to hang. The gallery wrap explainer covers the wrap question in detail, and Custom Canvas Wall Art is where an uploaded image goes if you want one at our size range.
Quick answers
It depends which Walmart. Measured on the Walmart Photo site in August 2026, a full photo canvas runs 16.96 to 98.96 dollars, with an 8 x 10 gallery wrap at 19.96 and a 16 x 20 at 39.96. Walmart Marketplace, where third party sellers list ready made decorative canvases, mostly sits between 10.99 and 18.96.
Walmart Photo offers same day pickup on popular sizes including 11 x 14 and 16 x 20, with free delivery over 35 dollars on shipped orders. Availability varies by location, so the practical answer is that the popular sizes are same day and the larger or specialist finishes are not.
For what it is, it is reasonable. Walmart Photo is a competent photo lab at small sizes. The marketplace is harder to answer, because each seller ships independently and canvas weight, frame depth and delivery times vary by seller rather than by Walmart. Check the frame depth and the wrap before ordering from any marketplace listing.
Ask whether you already have the picture. If you do, use a photo lab; paying an art store to print your own photograph makes no sense. If you are looking for artwork rather than printing your own, a photo lab cannot help and a marketplace only offers what is listed, so a catalogue is the right tool.
Size range and format, mostly. A 1 Piece canvas at 24 x 16 inches is 69.95 dollars here against 39.96 for a 16 x 20 at Walmart Photo. Our horizontal range reaches 82 x 42 inches, panoramic covers 36 x 12 to 73 x 24, and multi panel layouts are available. At small sizes the price gap is real; at 60 inches or five panels there is no comparison to make.
