Tiaracle Subject Index

Wall Art by Subject

Every subject Tiaracle prints is listed on this page. Search the word you already have in mind, or browse the three groups below: what the picture shows, where it was taken, and what it stands for. Every result opens a collection you can buy from.

450 subjects, every one of them a page you can buy from. Type a word, or pick a letter.

Three Kinds of Subject

Every Subject Answers One of Three Questions

What the picture shows, where it was taken, or what it stands for. Sorting them apart is what makes a lake findable without reading past a hundred countries first.

What Is In It

The Thing

Most subjects are a noun you can point at.

A wolf, a bridge, a sunflower, a steam train. This is the axis to use when the subject is the reason for the piece, and it is the one most people search by name before they ever look at a category.

Where It Is

The Place

Two of every three subjects here are somewhere real.

Countries, cities, US states, named lakes and landmarks. A place is bought for a reason a category cannot guess: someone lived there, married there or grew up there, so the exact name matters more than the family it belongs to.

What It Means

The Idea

Some art is not about the thing it shows.

Faith, love, a flag, a line of text. The picture is a carrier for something the wall is meant to say, which is why these pieces are chosen last in a room and moved least often once they are up.

What Is In It

The Thing

Fifteen families of noun, from the largest in the store to the smallest. Each row shows the pieces most people start with, and the rest of the family opens underneath.

Nature and Landscape

The largest family in the store, and the one that suits the most walls.

Water and Coast

Water reads calm at every viewing distance, which is why it works in a bathroom and a boardroom.

Animals and Wildlife

An animal is the one subject that holds a room's attention from across it.

Sun, Moon and Sky

Light is the subject here, not the landscape under it.

Flowers and Botanical

The highest volume subject term we measured, on any phrasing.

Cities and Architecture

Built subjects carry hard lines, so they hold their shape in a busy room.

Space and Astronomy

Deep color and one bright event. The easiest subject to hang in a dark room.

Cars, Planes and Trains

A machine is a portrait. It is bought for a specific one, almost never a category.

Sports and Activities

The family with the most collections and the fewest pieces in each.

Seasons and Holidays

The only family with a deadline. Order for a season before the season starts.

History and Culture

Old subjects, printed new. Nothing here is an antique reproduction claim.

Fantasy and Sci-Fi

Invented subjects, which means nobody can tell you the color is wrong.

People and Professions

Work as a subject. These are bought as gifts more than as decor.

Science and Technology

Diagrams and instruments, read close. A short viewing distance suits them.

Food and Drink

The one subject family that belongs to a single room.

Where It Is

The Place

Two of every three subjects here are a real place, so this section is an index rather than a gallery. One hundred countries, sixty nine cities, thirty two US states and thirty nine named lakes, each with its own page.

Countries

One hundred countries, each its own page.

Cities

A city is bought by name, never by region.

United States

Thirty two states and the District of Columbia.

Peaks, Parks and Landmarks

Named ground. A mountain sells by its own name and not as a mountain.

Named Lakes

Thirty nine lakes by name, which no other wall art store publishes at all.

Regions

Where a country is too big and a city is too small.

Islands

An island is a coastline with an edge you can see all of.

What It Means

The Idea

Subjects chosen for what they mean. These are the pieces that move house with people and go back on the wall first.

Faith and Religion

Chosen for meaning first and for the room second.

Words and Symbols

The only subject that has to be read, so viewing distance decides the size.

Maps

A map is the widest subject we sell, so it suits the widest wall.

Flags and Patriotic

Flat color and a hard edge. It reads from the far side of a room.

Life and Travel

The reasons people give for buying art, turned into subjects.

The Same For All of Them

What Every Subject Here Has in Common

The subject decides the picture and nothing else. Material, shape and price follow the size you pick on the product page.

Printed to order

Nothing here is warehoused. The piece is printed when it is ordered, which is why a collection of four is worth the same page as one of four thousand.

One catalogue, every subject

The same museum quality canvas, archival inks and solid wooden inner frame carry every subject on this page.

Four shapes

Horizontal, square, panoramic and vertical. The shape is chosen on the product page, so the subject never limits the wall it can go on.

Free shipping and 30 day returns

Free Shipping, and 30 day free returns in the US, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.

Common Questions

Common Questions

How Do I Find a Specific Subject?

Type the word into the search box at the top of this page. It matches every subject collection in the store by name and by common alternatives, so typing plane finds aviation and typing usa finds United States. Press Enter to open the first match. Nothing is hidden behind a category you have to guess first.

What Counts as a Subject?

A subject is what the picture shows, where it was taken, or what it stands for. Those are the three groups on this page. Color, room and style are separate questions and have their own pages, because a blue picture of a lake is still a lake.

Which Subject Suits a Living Room?

A wide subject read at ten to fourteen feet, which is the longest sightline in most homes. Landscape, water, city and sky all hold their shape at that distance. Fine detail disappears past about eight feet, so a single strong shape beats a busy image.

Can I Get Artwork of a Specific Place?

Often yes. There are one hundred countries, sixty nine cities, thirty two US states and thirty nine named lakes with their own pages here, plus peaks, parks and landmarks. Search the place name rather than the country it is in, because the specific page is usually the better match.

Does the Subject Change the Price?

No. Price follows the size and the layout, never the subject. A four piece set of a wolf costs the same as a four piece set of the Matterhorn at the same dimensions, because every piece is printed to order on the same canvas.
